Idiom : ‎”I CAN’T MAKE HEADS OR TAILS OF IT”

“I can’t make heads or tails of it!” means you don’t understand something, it’s incomprehensible, not obvious, unclear…etc…

EXAMPLE: “Did you see that new painting at the modern art museum?? What was it? I couldn’t make heads or tails of it. Was it a person, an animal or a flower? It was so abstract and bizarre! 🙂

All the best,  Cindy
